How to Participate

Milton Recreation invites all residents to celebrate the spookiest time of the year! Registering homes & businesses compete to be petrifying prize-winners, while residents make their way around town to view the eye-popping displays and vote for their frightening favorites. All decorating registrants will receive a goodie bag, and winners will receive special prizes along with a yard sign for bragging rights. Get out and view the creepy creativity!

Dates: Contest entry deadline Tue, Oct. 13 after which Milton Recreation will touch base with all who have entered and judging will take place Tue & Wed, Oct. 20 & 21. All winners will be announced by Tue, Oct. 27. A map of all entries will be made available on Oct. 20 for residents to view decorations.

The official Spirited Homes of Milton 2020 Brochure (PDF) is now available to print or view on your device! A limited number of printed brochures will be available for pick up in the Milton Municipal Building lobby. Also available is a Google Map of all participating homes and businesses.

Melanie and Todd really impressed the judges with their over the top passion and creativity. The skeleton-horse drawn carriage with hand made elements is jaw dropping!

The Goyet's chose the Halloween favorite film Hocus Pocus as inspiration and pulled the judges right into the theme. The music and vacuum "broom stick" are great!

It was tough to spot any part of The Sirricos' display that didn't incorporate some kind of handmade or recycled materials. RIP Ben Better!

In a very close race, with over 500 votes cast, The Costellos came out on top as the People's Choice Award winner for 2020. Well deserved and congratulations on a wonderful display!

ABC Academy & A Cut Above Landscaping

Winner of Most Spirited Business & Best Use of Recycled Materials & People's Choice Award

ABC Academy childcare center and A Cut Above Landscaping teamed up to create a "Children of the Corn" themed display that is truly frightening. Make sure to keep your eyes open as you walk through each scene, including an actual corn maze!

William Sawyer Property Management took things indoors, and went all out with creativity to faithfully recreate many familiar props from the beloved film "Hocus Pocus". Make sure to check out the homemade photo booth!

Vermont Federal Credit Union's indoor display ranked highest in the Safety category on the judges' scorecards, and went the extra mile with their handmade, Halloween themed masks for employees!
