2. The Economic Development Commission (EDC) hosts semi-annual social events designed to bring the business community together. These socials offer a great way for EDC members (as well as other guests from Milton and surrounding communities) to get to know a local business – and for local businesses to learn about the EDC. We promote these events (and the host) widely as open to the public, and they have a strong networking focus.

   The event begins with a regular, abbreviated EDC business meeting. That is usually followed by a focus on the host, who has the opportunity to introduce their business and provide a tour. There are usually between 20-40 attendees, which include EDC members and other members of the community.
