Regular Meetings

Regular meetings of the Economic Development Commission are held on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 4 p.m. in the Town Manager's Office located at the Milton Municipal Building.

About the Commission

The Economic Development Commission's purpose is to enhance Milton's economic future by:

  • Advising staff and the Board on infrastructure improvements that drive development and business investment
  • Advising staff and the Board on ways to promote and market Milton
  • Advising staff and the Board on ways to implement the Town's Economic Development Strategy
  • Assisting in the evaluation of taxation policy
  • Assisting in the evaluation of the Town's development regulations and their impact on tax revenues
  • Advocating for business interests before staff and the Board
  • Studying economic trends in the town, region and state
  • Educating the public on economic issues facing Milton

Term Limits & Appointments

Commissioners serve 3-year terms and the Commission is comprised of:

  • 2 ex-officio members: Town Manager and Milton School District Superintendent
  • 3-5 community members and 4-7 business representatives appointed by the Selectboard
