Cemeteries

There are eleven cemeteries in the Town of Milton. The Village Cemetery on upper Main Street and Miltonboro Cemetery on Beebe Hill Road are the only two cemeteries where plots are offered for burial.

Information on purchasing cemetery plots, fees, rules and regulations, and more can be found by visiting the links below. Further information may be obtained by contacting the Town Clerk's Office at 893-4111.

In the Spring and Summer months, Milton's Cemetery Superintendent will visit the grounds and remove cut flowers and arrangements, including decorations, that have become unsightly. This includes any plantings that are overgrown, ill kept and/or weatherworn.  He will also look for items outside the 16" area from the headstone, to clear the way for the lawn mowers.  These efforts are defined in more detail in Section V, pages 6 & 7 of the Cemetery Rules and Regulations.
